The Leadership Message: From Suite to Screen

Scheduling an executive can be a moving target. Many are road warriors navigating multiple geographies with jam-packed calendars.
Our senior leader in Atlanta wanted to make some key announcements regarding a product release. Our approach to capturing his message while making it a smooth experience for all involved started with the details:
Client video needs:
elevated, premium feel
no green screens, no typical corporate talking head piece
ATL office proximity
day-of schedule flexibility
budget-friendly
creative way to add motion graphics
Our agency checklist :
an appealing, interior 15'x15' recording space
walking distance from office
executive-facing producer with a local crew
an opportunity to brand the environment
quiet and private
easy to load in/setup/test/strike without inconveniencing our clients
easy script approvals
Location, Location, Location
To no one's surprise, office space is competitive, and often underwhelming. White walls, small space, or large immobile conference tables.
This is where nearby hotels come in handy, suites in particular. They can be the perfect location with built-in privacy, just enough space, and some visual interest that can be staged to look like a trendy office lobby. We found a hotel in Atlanta that was perfect for this project.
Before

After

Pre-Viz with AI
We'll scream it from the rooftops: The approval process is where you should be using AI. We grabbed a photo of the suite online, and generated an avatar to deliver the script. We added titles and graphics, and were able to create a skeletal edit for approvals with animations already laid in. It's easy to make script adjustments before the shoot when you can see a near-complete (but watermarked!) product. A huge bonus, this method also saves post-production time on the back end!
Elevated Touches
We created a premium video look with the camera on a slider, branding on the in-room TV, a window view with light-filtering covering, and high-quality lenses. These enhance the aesthetics of the existing space.
But nothing elevates production quality quite like proper coaching from an intuitive producer with soft skills. Being able to ground presenters, help them feel confident, and ensure their time is efficient will naturally lead to a better video outcome.

A Remote Feed, Always
Having a remote feed into Zoom or Teams is an easy way to engage remote marketing teams and creative staff. "Fresh eyes" from those invested in the outcome provide helpful perspectives on framing, branding, delivery, and script supervision. We invited our editor, so no need to brief him on the shoot after; he was there! And he was able to verify whether we had enough clean deliveries to create a successful piece.
One Shoot, Many Flavors
Leader messaging is often a multi-channel roll-out. For this video, we did a social teaser with a full-length YouTube piece. We also created very targeted cuts with content tailored to specific audiences. Being proactive about social versions and alternative cuts in advance allows us to record what we need to have a clean edit, and adds very little recording time.
Our approach meets leaders where they are and maximizes every moment they’re available. And because we're thoughtful in the preparation, we're able to capture, edit, and approve leadership videos in an elevated, attentive way.
